In order to make sure their super limo is competent against the new S-Class, BMW has tried improving the current 7-Series. A model with very little in the way of camouflage has been spotted testing on the famous Nurburgring test track in Germany, and the Bavarians have reportedly brought over three different powertrain configurations there, so the 7er might be getting new engines.
As we’ve seen with the X1 and X6 facelifts, BMW is not in the mood to radically change the styling of their cars, and this is also true with the mid-cycle impulse 7-Series. However, subtle changes to the bumpers and headlights will take place, bringing this luxury fullzised saloon closer to the new 3-Series, which is BMW’s new design benchmark.
The indicators will become a row of LED lams at the top of the headlight assembly that will be not change its shape. Just like with the 6-Series, full-LED headlights will be available.
