There you are, cruising along the slow German lanes in a small town, enjoying the twin turbocharged kicks of one of the fastest convertibles for the money, when the paparazzi jump out of the shrubs and snap what the public isn’t supposed to see yet, ruining your day. The 6-Series Convertible was unveiled at this year’s Detroit Motor Show back in January, but we’re still eager for more, so here’s a complete set of images showing the new M6 on the road.
Our dedicated team of photographers have snapped up both the gray exterior paint model and the more menacing black one. On the outside, the car will feature a more aggressive design language defined by a larger air dam, a lower bumper, a new muscular nose, and a bulging bonnet.

Round the back, we spot quad exhausts, indicating this is indeed an M creation and a new bumper with an integrated rear diffuser.

This is also the first time we bring you interior photos of the sporty convertible, showing lots of black leather, M badges on the shifter and instruments, plus a sporty steering wheel.

Under the bonnet of the beast is the same twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 found in the X5 M, X6 M and more recently the M5. Rumor has it that in the M6 it will have as much as 600 hp, instead of the 560 hp in the saloon. However, this means it will also be more expensive.
