We’ve got less than a month to go before the 2011 IAA kicks off in Frankfurt. We’ve got our bags packed and our cameras ready. Most of the world’s automakers are also packing for Germany, but before their innovative designs are shipped over, a few extra tests are in order. It might not be as important as the new 911 that was leaked today, but we bet that a few millionaires are eager to see the 2012 Bentley Continental GT Speed Facelift showing its LED in Frankfurt. Well gentlemen, you needn’t wait, as we’ve got some spyshots ready that reveal just about every crease, line and wheel nut, as it's been spotted testing completely uncovered. Obviously, the Speed model incorporates all the major changes made this year to the Continental GT range, but it also brings a few extras to justify the additional bucks you’ll be paying. The biggest is that aggressive front bumper that gives a sportier look to the Speed. Massive intakes feed the familiar W12 engine with all the force-induced air it needs. Output should also be increased from the current GT Speed’s 600 horsepower, but we can’t say by how much. The Speed model will also share the same ZF six-speed unit but with an additional Quickshift function that allows double downshifts. As we’ve just mentioned, this facelifted beast will show the result of the cosmetic surgery in Frankfurt, while sales are to start toward the end of the year. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
