Volkswagen's new Jetta is now receiving the latest touches, so you shouldn't be too amazed if, by mistake, you see one near you while stuck in traffic. But, judging by these pictures, it might be a bit difficult for you to notice that what you see is actually a Volkswagen, as the German carmaker likes to play a little bit and tries to dress its cars like... Toyotas (Corolla or something close to it): with bumpers, headlights, grille and badge close to the ones used by the Japanese brand.

Now, take a look at the adjacent photos and, after a first look, scratch your head and move closer. Yes, this is actually the new Jetta but wearing Toyota's clothes. Basically, Volkswagen camouflaged its car in a unique way to blend the prototype into traffic without letting us to notice it. But we did and we also observed that thin piece of tape over the Volkswagen logo on the steering wheel...

So, we now can see that the new car will be longer and wider than the current model. According to our sources, the new Jetta, which is internally known as the New Compact Sedan, will be manufactured by VW's Puebla, Mexico facility, with the German brand hoping to sell around 160,000 units per year.

The new model will be sold in the Unites States where it will compete against - guess who! - Toyota's Corolla and maybe Civic and Volkswagen hopes to snatch the market's lion share with a lower price. It will be sold in Europe as well, but expectations are somewhat limited.

The car might be offered with an all-wheel drive system as well, but only as an option. Production will begin later this year and the first units will be delivered in the first months of 2011.
