Ford plans to launch the new generation C-MAX next year and here are the first photos showing the revised model. The car will most likely be based on the Iosis Max concept displayed this year in March at the Geneva Motor Show but compared to that model, the production flavor will be bigger and offering less features.

As you can see, the camouflage is covering the sliding doors which will most likely make it into production. Nevertheless, the center support will be less radical compared to the one on the concept, with the sliding door rail now placed above the fuel filler cap.

Obviously, details are still sketchy at this point but it appears that the American manufacturer will rely on the same engine range, probably with a few improvements for reduced emissions and enhanced fuel efficiency. Furthermore, the 1.6-liter EcoBoost unit we've seen on the Iosis Max concept might make it on the production version as well and will raise the maximum output level to around 180 hp.

But as we said, nothing is confirmed so far, so we're still expecting for more details and official specs. As far as we're concerned, the new-generation C-MAX is expected to be officially unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, with sales across Europe likely to commence in the next few weeks after the first public appearance.

Currently in the first generation, Ford C-MAX officially saw daylight in 2003 and received the first facelift in December 2006 when the parent company presented the model at the Bologna Motor Show.
