We’ve recently had quite an adventure that involved a Range Rover and a deserted beach, and while driving the beast we couldn’t help think that, since it’s that good, the next generation, which is due to arrive this year, should be phenomenal.
Speaking of the fourth generation of the RR, our team of spy shooters has recently encountered the prototype during hot weather testing in South Africa. Previous reports indicated that the vehicle would make its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March, but judging by these images, the vehicle will arrive later in the year.
The most important change will be a substantial weight reduction (around 880 lbs/ 400 kg), while the engines are expected to be carried from the current generation with a few tweaks to increase efficiency. There will also be a hybrid version, but this won’t be offered straight from the launch.
