A Mercedes S-Class and BMW i8 being tailed by an Opel? You don't see that every day, but thankfully we have just the clip to show you it actually happened.
With this year's Nurburgring test sessions coming to an end, Opel is still going all-out with track testing of the next Corsa OPC. We caught the car just on track track just as it was chasing the aforementioned German performance monsters, not bad considering it's only a little hot hatch.

This new model will continue to use the old Corsa's chassis. However, we believe the current engine will be replaced by one that belongs to the SIDI Turbo family. Opel already has a 200 hp 1.6 which went into the Cascada and Insignia and would be perfect for the hot hatch.

With slightly more power, possibly as much as 300 Nm of torque and a new gearbox, this Corsa model could conceivably go from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6.7s. Top speed should be the industry standard of 225 km/h or so.

This new OPC model faces its stiffest competition ever, as the Fiesta ST, Clio RS and 208 GTi are dominating headlines right now. Opel's answer seems to be a track car, judging from the low profile track tires, the sports exhaust and the low, stiff suspension.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
