We've shown you plenty of exclusive images of the next generation Audi TT, but there's only so much we can tell you from photos. That where this clip, fresh from Germany comes in. It tell us much more about what to expect from this third generation 2+2 car.
First off, there's the benchmarking. A whole convoy of cars accompanies the single 2015 Audi TT test model they have right now. We're talking about two examples of the outgoing TT, a Mercedes SLK, Peugeot RCZ facelift and even an R8 which you can see in the background.
Unlike most of these cars, the next TT will have a very wide range of engines available, and that's because it's based on the same MQB platform as many other compact cars, and shares various bits with the new A3, including most of its interior.
We thing at least these five engines are guaranteed to be offered with the next generation TT:
• 1.8 TFSI with 180 PS and 250 Nm
• 2.0 TFSI with 220 PS and 350 Nm
• 2.0 TDI with 184 PS and 380 Nm
• TTS with 300 PS and 380 Nm
• TT RS with rumored 380 PS from 2.5 TFSI
However, Audi could be so bold as to offer a lesser 2.0 TDI 150 PS and even the 1.6 TDI.
