The model on sale here belonged to Pantera Club of North Carolina's Roger Sharp for 30 years, which means it was on good hands. It has no rust whatsoever and every piece you’ll see on it looks at least refurbished.

Among features, you’ll get lowered floor pans, 5-point Deist seatbelts, a removable steering wheel, CB radio, all-new glass flush mount windshield, a Vader power window kit, Wilkinson adjustable shock absorbers, an aluminum engine bay brace and a new rack and pinion steering system.

Power comes from a 351 cu.in. Ford V8 that got bored to 408 and got a lot of internal components changed. There’s no word on how much it cranks now, but the seller says it surely won’t overheat thanks to a Fluidyne aluminum radiator and dual fans. The original engine was rated at around 330 hp, so it could make around 400 hp now.

De Tomaso what?

Oh, you never heard about this awesome machine. Well, in this case, you should know the Pantera means panther, obviously, and was produced by Italian automaker De Tomaso between 1971 - 1992 in a limited 7,260 units.

The Pantera was actually penned by American designer Tom Tjaarda to replace the previous Mangusta which was built on a steel backbone chassis. Which means the Pantera was using a monocoque design, a first for the company.

Although the original version had not enough headroom and slightly offset pedals, it was coming with some neat features for the time, such as electric windows, air conditioning and even buzzing doors to warn people they’re getting opened.
