Drawing its cues from the nifty '62 BSA Catalina scrambler, here's a piece of motorcycle magic: the T61 Catalina Special, a Suzuki 400 which received the reviving touch of Tokyo-based workshop Speedtractor.
If you're looking for a flamboyant machine, Catalina Special is not the one for you. If however, you're in search of classic, simple, unadulterated beauty, then this bike will make your heart beat a lot faster.

Built to provide the same thrilling ride no matter of the surface you're on, Speedtractor's Suzuki 400 is equally at home on the tarmac and on dirt, just like a true-blood scrambler should be. The looped subframe comes with a short, retro saddle which sits on long-travel suspensions, providing plenty of movement for hard riding off the road.

A mini gauge and the mandatory fork gaiters are of course, in place, and the we just loved the turn signals integrated in the headlight mounts. Cool Akront rims and customized drum brakes add to the style of this nifty bike. And since scrambler is the name of the game, the high, horizontal straight pipe could not miss from the big picture, just like the knobbies.

Again, there is nothing striking about Speedtractor's T61 Catalina Special... or maybe it is: its sheer simplicity and lean, flowing classic attire. Via Vintage Racers.
