Once more, it looks like it’s not the speed which kills, but the sudden stop. Still, this spectacular motorcycle accident did not end with the demise of the rider, but a series of 5 surgeries and with at least 3 more to go, if we were to believe the uploader of this video.
The “forensics” of the crash is a pretty easy task, as things are clear as daylight. Nevertheless, it’s hard to determine which of the rider’s actions should be number one on the list. Since we all speed every now and then, I’d say that passing the car in front in a restricted zone is the first law-breaking. That is because we all speed, just like I said before, but not all of us are dumb enough to do so when approaching cars in road sectors where they could actually change direction.
Some might say that the guy was only trying to avoid crashing into the car steering left. That may be, but in case there was a chance that the other vehicle steered left, why speeding like a mad man? Correct me if I’m wrong.
Now, for the 200 km/h (124 mph) speed, I really doubt the fellow was that fast. Riding at such speed and being side-crashed into the way he did would have most likely resulted in a much longer leap through the air. Anyway, the rider lived, though I bet he’s regretting the heavy hand he had that day.
