Those that have been waiting for details on what Subaru has planned for the BRZ, let us tell you that they seem to be preparing a special edition that will be revealed sometime this year.
If you were wondering whether the BRZ will finally receive turbocharging, the answer is “no.” This special edition will only bring some design changes.

We’re talking about a kit that features a front lip spoiler, bespoke alloy wheels, a rear wing and STI badging, features similar to the tS’s. Also, Subaru is even considering adding some special side skirts to complete the overall makeover.

These are some pretty bad news for Subaru fans as the most awaited thing was the Factory Turbo and not some cosmetic changes.

Even so, we should still appreciate the BRZ special edition as it will, at least, look good. Who knows, maybe in the near future we’ll finally get a Subaru BRZ with turbocharging. It never hurts to be optimistic.
