I’m not sure if Ducati UK is slow with the 959 Panigale sales, but it just announced it will release a special edition of the bike that should be a lot more desirable thanks to a selection of accessories from the Ducati Performance catalog.
The company said only 25 Ducati Performance 959 Panigale will be made and each of them will be numbered using laser etching on the steering head. Prices start at £15,995 and go up to £16,995 for the model that will also get carbon fiber parts.
One of the major change the Performance 959 Panigale comes with is the lack of an ugly stock exhaust. Instead of the rear mounted shotgun pipes, the special edition comes fitted with an Akrapovic underbody system. The lower fairings have also been modified to accommodate the setup.
Apart from that, the sportbike also comes with a lot of billet aluminum parts like the tank filler cap, racing levers, brake lever protector, and more. The carbon version adds nice things like carbon fiber ignition switch cover, heel guards, front sprocket cover, shock cover, tail tidy kit, chain guard and even the rear mudguard.
To top it off, the bike also comes with a racing windscreen and a rear passenger seat cover. But why would you spend more on a stock bike with manufacturer accessories and call it a special edition?
Although you could make your own 959 Panigale look just like this one, you will end up spending way more cash to achieve it. Looking at the base price, the Performance 959 Panigale here is about £2,600 more. Now, if you look in the accessories catalog, you’ll see that amount of money will only buy you the exhaust kit.
