FX' Sons of Anarchy may be over, but the heritage of this TV series lives on. Even more, a new series will sprout as a spin-off from the SOA, but this time it's the Mayans MC who step into the spotlight.
Kurt Sutter, the creator of the Sons of Anarchy says that the new series is still in a very early stage of development. He did not offer any details as to what the new series will bring, and neither has he made any estimation as to when it will premiere.

Likewise, it is not known at this point if the series dedicated to the Mayans MC will fit into the Sons of Anarchy timeline, or whether it will also incorporate pre- and post-SOA events. Nevertheless, a very exciting piece of news, it will be interesting to see how the upcoming series will stack against the huge success the seven-season SOA had.

How the Mayans-SOA relationships will be presented is yet another thing we are curious to know more about, as the Mayans were the Sons' rivals in the original story.

In the original series, the Oakland charter has, in time, grown closer to the SAMCRO, the two MCs becoming lucrative partners in both business and crime. There are plenty directions Sutter can go with the new motorcycle club story, and this might be an unexpected boon for the writers of the series.

In case the Mayans-centered series will bring the same intense drama the Sons of Anarchy did, we might see the audience growing just as much, or even bigger. Until more details on the new story emerge, we cannot help asking how will the SAMCRO characters be integrated into the story and how many of the Redwood guys will appear in it...
