The Gumball 3000 doesn't have a monopoly on exciting cars. For instance, the guys at the 2015 Modball not only have the right Italian exotics, but also know how to have fun with them, as you are about to see.
Yesterday, the unlikeliest of drag races took place, between a couple of Ferraris and a tracked vehicle. No, it's not a tank that invaded the supercar scene, but a snowmobile. There wasn't any snow around, so instead the race was organized at the Varano de' Melegari race track in Italy.

The Snowmobile is a real beast. Off the line, it doesn't win against the two Ferraris, it pummels them into submission. Considering these V8-engined beasts are among the best out there, we're seriously considering a tracked Lambo for our next project car.

Nothing is known about the specs of this machine, but it's clearly a custom ride. As for the Ferraris, they both appear stock. One of them is quite famous over in Britain, the 458 Spider that's been customized by Yiannimize a London-based wrapping shop for the rich and famous.

We wish we could say that this is the first drag race between a supercar and a snowmobile, but it's not. In March 2015, the Tesla Model S P85D took on a 160 horsepower snowmobile. Because the race was organized on snow, the difference between the two is amplified. However, the Tesla still manages to win.

The following month, an orange Lamborghini Huracan had a similar contest of power and traction on its hands. The race was neck and neck until the end, so will let you check out what happens.
