Snow-Stuck Lamborghini and Range Rover Rescue Car Are a Helpless 8x8 Two-Vehicle Convoy

When you happen to own a Lamborghini Gallardo and wake up in the morning to see some fresh snow has landed overnight, this can be a source of great joy. Alas, if your list of cold season preparations does not include winter tires, you'll probably end up in ridiculous situations, just like the Raging Bull driver in the adjacent video.

As we can see in the footage, the 560 horses of this Gallardo won't get the supercar anywhere on performance tires. The "LP560-4" in the car's designation indicated we're also dealing with a self-regulating viscous coupling all-wheel drive system, but since the vehicle is trying to drive up an incline, this is useless too. Given the conditions, even the Huracan's electronically-controlled AWD would be a mere toy.

In fact, the summer rubber's negative effects go deeper than that - the Gallardo driver had called in a Range Rover for help. A chain was tied between the two cars and the rescue action began.

The man in the Lambo activated the nose lift system, so his front apron didn't act as a snow plow - frankly, he didn't have a reason to fear this, since the supercar wasn't going anywhere.

We'll assume the Range Rover was wearing its usual mixed tires, but it all proved to much even for the legendary SUV. So we can say the Lamborghini driver's summer tire ignorance, coupled with the slope, was enough to render this... eight-by-eight pair useless.

As for the icing on this really cold cake, this comes from a pedestrian, who tries to help the two cars by pushing the Range Rover.

Don't let yourself fooled though - supercars and sportscars can get allow with snow and ice rather well. All they need are the rigt tires and Vaughn Gittin Jr. has recently demonstrated this with the help of his 2015 Mustang RTR prototype and, of course, a few studs.
