The Smiths Triumph Racing Team will make a wildcard appearance in the kick-off round of the 2014 World Supersport championship, at Phillip Island.
Pretty much like they did on other occasions, the Glucester-based team are using these wildcard outings to refine bike setup and prepare their riders for the British Supersport Championship rounds.
Riders Billy McConnell and Graeme Gowland will both ride Triumph Daytona 675R bikes with full factory support. The team also has a private test at Phillip Island scheduled before the 2014 WSS kick-off round, also aimed at helping them regain the British Supersport crown lost in 2013.
