Remember the self-deprecating and extremely funny smart fortwo electric drive ad from a few months ago? If not, you can check out the US-version, which just hit the YouTube channel just a few minutes ago.
Unfortunately, the American version is a bit different than the original, and not necessarily in the good way.
The 49 seconds of the original included a few more hysterical takes that got cut on the US-version, along with the change from the German license plate to one that says “smart electric” and an ED sticker on the side of the Tridion cell.
The first commercial was for the entire smart fortwo lineup, while the US rendition is trying to solely advertise the fortwo ed (electric drive, not erectile dysfunction, you jokers).
Speaking of which, the new 2014 smart fortwo electric drive can be had starting from just $139/month, which makes it the cheapest to own electric car in America, apart from being the smallest production electric car in the world.
