smart fortwo grandstyle edition Wants You to Buy One

Even though the current generation of the smart fortwo only has a few more months of life in its lilliputian body and is about to be replaced by an entirely new model, the tiny city car is still receiving updates on its last production leg.

The UK branch of smart recently introduced the somewhat-humorously-named fortwo grandstyle edition, which will be sold via a specially-tailored financing program with 0 percent interest.

The exterior is adorned with gleaming black 15-inch three-double-spoke alloy wheels, headlights with titanium-colored surrounds and “grandstyle” logos in the door mirror triangles, while the interior comes with Black Artico upholstery and a leather-trimmed two-spoke steering wheel.

Based on the passion line, the grandstyle edition also comes with Navigation Highline with a 6.5 inch touch screen in standard and air conditioning and is paired either with the 71 hp mhd or 84 hp turbocharged three-cylinder engine.

“smart has always been small and stylish but the grandstyle edition moves it up a level,” said Gary Savage, Chief Executive Officer Mercedes-Benz UK Limited. “Everything about the grandstyle edition is designed to enhance driver enjoyment, and it’s a car that will create a real stir in its sector.”

Apart from the zero percent interest finance package, new smart fortwo grandstyle edition customers can get the 71 hp mhd coupe from just 99 pounds per month, with the 84 turbocharged version being available for an extra 10 pounds per month.

The OTR (On The Road) starting price for the 71 hp mhd smart fortwo grandstyle edition is GBP 10,330, making for a rather well-specced and good-looking cheap smart fortwo for those people who can't wait for the new generation of the model.
