With only a few months until the upcoming third generation of the smart fortwo will be unveiled, the current model is apparently still showing signs of life.
Specifically for the UK market, smart has just launched a special edition version of the fortwo made in cooperation with BoConcept, the Danish urban interior design specialist.
Called the smart fortwo BoConcept edition for obvious reasons, the new model features matt crystal white body panels, light lemon mirror caps and accents on the 15-inch nine-spoke alloy wheels.
The BoConcept logos in the mirror triangles complete the exterior design specials, but the interior is where the party happens.
Following a design synonymous with the BoConcept style, the seats are engulfed in a tobacco brown leather with grey quilted fabric and light lemon double stitching, with the same color scheme being present on the dashboard, door panels, kneepad and the two-spoke leather steering wheel.
“It’s testament to the strength of the collaboration between smart and BoConcept that this new edition has evolved, as it provides a stylish mix of contemporary design and style for urban living.” said Gary Savage, Managing Director at Mercedes-Benz Cars UK.
The BoConcept special edition is available in either coupe or the cabrio body style, with the 71 hp mhd engine. The coupe starts from GBP 11,940 while the cabrio from GBP 13,440.
