While we wait for the official pictures and info about the new smart forfour Brabus, our team of carparazzi is on the prowl for test mules, and it's fair to say their persistence paid off.
This time, they set up camp in Southern Europe, where they spotted a smart forfour Brabus prototype undergoing the usual set of pre-production tests.

Apart from the kaleidoscopic camo foil covering the car's front spoiler and rear spoilers, we basically get to see how the model will look like when it debuts, most likely during this year's Frankfurt Motor Show scheduled to kick off in September.

However, we would prefer to see the pocket-rocket wearing a spicier color, maybe some red and yellow paint to please the eye and give a hint that they're wearing the Brabus badge.

Speaking of which, just as the smart fortwo Brabus spotted several times before, the smart forfour Brabus will ride on a lower and harder suspension.

There's no word on what will clients have at their disposal under the hood, but we can throw some guesses in. For example, we could see and hear a 0.9-liter 3-cylinder turbo producing around 115 horsepower or a bigger 1.2-liter four-cylinder that should be able to make about 130 horsepower.

Honestly, we think the first option is the more viable and realistic choice, but we'll let the car's launch confirm or infirm that for us.

We also expect the smart forfour Brabus to employ a manual gearbox to manage the above-mentioned power figures, but we'll get back on that as more info emerges.
