Remember when Candy Crush Saga used to be the most popular smartphone game in the world? Some still play it, but the “craze” has passed.
Now, it is Pokemon Go’s time for its “15 minutes of fame,” and the game is making people go crazy like never before. Unlike other games for your smartphone, the new Pokemon Go makes people leave their houses and walk to unlock various achievements in the entertainment app.

Among the tasks that must be undertaken for a successful run in Pokemon Go is reaching certain points on a virtual map, which is overlapped on top of the map of the area the player is located. In other words, people must go to specific locations to find more Pokemons, and this has previously led to nasty situations in recent days and weeks.

The worst thing that has happened to Pokemon Go players while using the popular game was dying, after getting shot. Others that were more fortunate just got shot at, drove their cars into trees or police cruisers, while some were in trouble with law enforcement of employers in some way or another.

As we previously said in articles referring to this game, remember to use your head while playing it, and act like a rational human being. Otherwise, you might hurt others or get injured or even die.

In the case of this story, the Mayor of Dusseldorf, a big city in Germany, decided to close a bridge that crosses over the river Dussel. The Girardet bridge was open to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, but it has been temporarily closed to all but humans, so they can “hunt” Pokemons safely.

According to RP Online, players had come to Dusseldorf from as far as Holland to catch Pokemon on the bridge, so public safety was a significant concern for the town’s mayor when this decision was made.

The same report mentions a particular bus route being planned, which will take Pokemon Go players around the city’s best spots. We sincerely hope they get charged accordingly, as this game is getting annoying.
