Our first take on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition wasn't a very good one. And we're not talking about the part were we refused to believe the model's arrival for a few good weeks.
No, we're talking about the impression that the actual car left on us after checking out the official pictures, where both the Coupe and the Roadster pretty much made us think that we're looking at a tuner creation and not at something made by the same people that developed the car in the first place.
The carbon fiber bits sprinkled somewhat unnaturally all over the exterior didn't convince us it was a car worthy of the “Final Edition” moniker.
Well, guess what? We were apparently dead wrong, because all the SLS AMG GT Final Edition needed to win our hearts was another color. Something like the Designo Magno Graphite Matte that the model in the adjacent photos is sporting proudly at the 2013 LA Auto Show.
