The next feat is part of their Epic Drives series, which you can watch every fourth Friday on the MotorTrend YouTube channel. This time the star of the online show is the thunderous Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series.
Although with the money saved up for its US price tag for the tested model of $296,075 you could buy a “normal” SLS AMG and a CLS, the flagship Black Series car is one of the most wicked cars you can buy anywhere, from any manufacturer.
At least this seems to be the general conclusion of MotorTrend's Epic Drive session with the Affalterbach beast.
Powered by a revised version of the M159 6.2-liter, normally aspirated V8 of the “regular” SLS AMG, the car can shoot from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds, although the figure has apparently been bested by some car journos, MotorTrend included.
Getting back tot the video which you can watch bellow, there is somewhat of a questionable sequence that starts at around the 12:08 minute mark, starring two pieces of Tillamook cheese and the rear tires of the SLS AMG Black Series. We won't spoil more, you'll just have top watch it yourself.
