The latest edition of MotorTrend's Best Driver's Car week has come to a finish and all the conclusions are now on the table. The Black Series version of the SLS AMG won the silver medal in the fight between 12 of the best driving cars available in the US, according to Motor Trend, naturally.
Even though the most brawling Teutonic knight in the AMG stable was the fastest car of the 12 in lapping the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, even beating the more powerful SRT Viper, it didn't quite make it to the top of the best driver's car list.

Apparently, the car's slight tendency to snap-oversteer when driven at the limit was the main quarrel that the Motor Trend testers had with the car, everything else about it being way better than anyone would want from a true blood sports car.

The SLS AMG Black Series “sounds like the engine is trying to leap through the dash and strangle you” noted one MT reviewer, while all the other pretty much agreed that all the Black Series modifications make it the best SLS to date. You can read their review here and/or have a look at the DTM-like model in the gallery bellow.
