As we were mentioning these past few days, there was an AMG driving event at Willow Springs California, recently, where a horde of journalists from all over the world were invited to track test the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series.
Among the media invited were also the Canadians from Driving, who naturally wrote a review about how they had its way with the fastest three-pointed star vehicle in the current lineup.

Powered by a racing-like evolution of the M159 engine, the SLS AMG Black Series develops an astounding 631 hp (622 bhp) and 635 Nm (468 lb ft) of torque from a 6.2-liter, normally-aspirated V8 with a 7,200 rpm redline.

Along with a thorough reduction in weight, carbon ceramic brakes and a DTM-like footprint, suspension settings and aero parts, the most powerful current Black Series model is essentially a GT3 racer in street clothing.

You should Driving's SLS AMG Black Series review for yourself to see how the car handled on the Willow Springs race track.
