Arguably the fastest production version of an AMG model in history, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is still making headlines after each test drive, despite the car on which it is based going to the supercar afterlife in about half a year from now.
Powered by the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine on the planet, the M159 evolution underneath that ginormous hood offers no less than 631 hp (622 bhp) and 635 Nm (468 lb ft) of torque.

Those figures are enough to catapult the SLS AMG Black Series from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds, while the first quarter mile is met after just a little over 11 seconds.

With an exterior inspired by the SLS AMG GT3 Customer Racing car, the most powerful current Black Series no only walks the walk but it also talks the talk, looking like it came straight from the racing track to the road.

The folks from Car and Driver recently had a go in the most bonkers AMG, and they have quite a nice tale to tell us about their experience, more than once comparing it with the original Mercedes-Benz Uhlenhaut Coupe – which was also a racing car for the road.
