Out of the sand, a nation rises! The National Day of the United Arab Emirates is celebrated every year of December 2nd. The Arab nation was founded in 1971 after it won its independence from the United Kingdom and united the seven emirates into one country. People like to celebrate this day by painting their faces, like for a football game, but in recent years, a new trend has formed.
The most decadent and exotic cars on the planet are refinished in the colors of the UAE flag or featuring significant heads of state from the nation’s history.

Some have already finished their cars, and one of our favorite supercar spotters, Patrick3331 from Dubai, sent us a video if this McLaren Mercedes SLR finished in the UA national colors. It’s amazing to think this much money was spent just for one day, but that’s national price for you.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
