The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, also called the "Silver Arrow of the 21st century," is one of the most beautiful supercars to have ever come out of Stuttgart's own house of design.
Its striking look was the work of Steffen Köhl and Gorden Wagener, who would eventually make it to become the head of design at Mercedes-Benz, so it's a bit intriguing that a car so sensual would be penned by a a German, who are normally known to be cold and calculated.
Its technical side was just as exciting, with the work also being shared by two legends. On one side it had a 626 hp 5.4-liter supercharged V8 made by AMG, while the carbon fiber body was built by McLaren.
The kids in the following photo gallery probably don't give an ice cream cone on how many horsepower this silver bullet-looking car has or how fast it is from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), but they sure seem to be mesmerized like a grown up of its gorgeous design and the way its doors and ginormous engine hood open upwards.
