Sleek Ayrton Senna Tribute Triumph Bonneville by Tarso Marques

Ayrton Senna was one of the biggest racers of all times and is a highly-respected figure in both the four- and two-wheeled worlds. Tarso Marques Concept delivers a new Senna tribute, but it's not the usual Del Prado Harley or the official Ducati Panigale we get from Brazil. We're talking about another kind of elegance, the British kind. So here's the Senna tribute Bonneville.

The Triumph Bonneville is indeed one of the bikes customizers seem to favor quite a lot, because it is a very versatile platform. One can easily derive a scrambler, a retro sport bike, a cafe-racer starting from the good-old Bonnie, and most of the resulting bikes look at least good if not downright smashing.

Lenticular wheels may make riding harder at times, but look very cool

Tarso Marques' Bonneville replicates the looks of Senna's usual race cars in terms of livery, of course. The layout of the color scheme is a rather simplist one, but if you ever saw Senna in his glory days, you'll understand the design language. The number 12 harks back to the 1988 McLaren MP4/4, one of the few cars that made it in early computer games, and similar to the 11-badged one driven by Alain Prost.

The bars have been lowered and replaced with sporty clip-ons, and the reworked seat now accommodates only the rider. An elegant, fluid-shaped rear hump follows the flowing line of the tank and seatpan for a coherent look.

Save for the sparkly white and red accents, this Bonneville was blacked-out almost entirely. This includes the fork legs, the triple tree, swingarm, engine and its cases, rear shocks and the exhaust, as well.

The wrapping is also black, and we're very curious to learn how does this bike sound. The long peashooter cans of the stock Bonneville were binned and replaced with a short flared ones.

As for the wheels, they are both retro and racey, as Marques opted for lenticular ones that hark back to the track days of yore. Riding this machine may prove a bit hard at times due to occasional "sail effect", buy we're positive that this is only a minor setback for such a cool-looking Bonnie.
