Skoda Yeti vRS Rendered

Going fast in an SUV is not something new. BMW lets you do it, and so does Mercedes. But at the bottom end of the spectrum, customers are more preoccupied with the their cargo space and their fuel economy. That's why there are no Tiguan GTIs and no Juke Nismos… wait, scratch that.

Besided Nissan, nobody has tried to make a small, really affordable performance SUV. And since Skoda's customers are 99% sensible, the Czechs were unlikely to ever do so.

But now, the Yeti has a new look with better styling and we thing the time for a powerful Skoda SUV is coming. This recently revealed by X-Tomi Design, who took the Yeti to the next level.

So, what would power a hot Skoda Yeti? The platform for this 5-door is the PQ35, similar to the Audi A3 Mk2 and the Golf of its time. That means the 2-liter TSI would fit in nicely and offer the lower 210 PS output. After all, we wouldn't want to upset Golf GTI owners with comparable performance.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
