“The highly popular Southern Car Club-organised event takes place in the forests near Bournemouth and Poole, and over the last 25 years has grown into one of the best loved and keenly contested events in the national rally calendar,” stated the press release.
Skoda UK established its relationship with the Southern Car Club at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the Club handles the Forest Rally Stage and where the Czech carmaker demonstrated its Fabia S2000, which was manhandled by Freddy Loix in a feat that managed to please the crowds.
The company will supply the Club with four-wheel-drive cars that will be used by race officials throughout the event. The list of Skoda models to be offered includes the namely Yeti, Octavia Scout, Superb Hatch and Superb Estate.
