Czech automaker Skoda has revealed the Citigo Sport, the urban car's sportier looking version, ahead of its European market debut later this year.
The Citigo's supposedly flamboyant and more attractive cousin comes in just three color schemes (red, white and black), each of them wearing a central so-called racing stripe. While turning an urban vehicle into a sportier car it's not easy at all, the 15 mm lowered ride height, the 15-inch alloy wheels, and the tinted windows do improve the overall appearance.
Skoda payed attention to the interior as well, which now has red sport seats, leather wrapped steering wheel, handbrake and gear shift lever, 5-inch touch screen with Bluetooth and many more. Unfortunately, we can't say the same thing about what's under the hood, since the Czech carmaker decided for a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder 60 HP and 75 HP engine transplant from the regular version. Both of them mounted to the five-speed manual transmission, of course.
What looks like a Citigo Sport and drives like regular Citigo? A waste of a car maybe? Come on Skoda, put some real sport into that car!
