Skoda Rapid Coupe Rendered

There used to be a time when Czech carmaker Skoda offered really cool cars like the Felicia, the Octavia coupe or the post-war VOS with its huge chrome grille. But today, they’re a wash of reasonable, simple and affordable cars that offer the larger boot space possible or the best fuel economy.

So what they need is a bit of livening up, and a coupe will do the trick. This would share the same MQB-derived platform as the normal Rapid notchback and the new SEAT Toledo.

The only problem is that the Rapid was never designed to be sporty, and Skoda hasn’t exactly been cranking out performance vehicles.

But their fans will surely made due with just the turbocharged 1.4-liter found in the hot Fabia RS, pushing out 180 horsepower.
