Skoda Rapid 1.2 TSI Raced at Nurburgring

We once knew a guy who honestly believed the Skoda Octavia is the only car 90% of people would ever need. But that was before the Czechs came out with the Rapid sedan.

This compact model has been available since early 2012 and the folks at AutoForum.cz continue to show extreme national price by taking this average family car on the most hardcore track in all of Europe.

The 105 PS 1.2 TSI engine gets pushed to extremes to find the limits of the car which AutoForum say were not evident on the road. Going at speeds of up to 200 km/h on standard road tires, the Rapid takes on much more serious cars. You've got to give it up for the driver, who has excellent car control and racers the car in brown pants and a buttoned up blue shirt.
