From the Citigo urban dweller all the way to the Superb family car, Skoda's model lineup in the United Kingdom is now offered with a special trim level. Although it's called the Black Edition, 5 out of 8 models can be had with white exterior paint.
Specifically, a fine print at the end of the press release informs that the Citigo, Roomster and Rapid are available only in black. Based on the mid-range SE trim, the Black Edition treatment adds more kit depending on the model. Worth from £1,200 to £3,200, the extra equipment varies by model.
Customers that go for Black Edition Skoda models are offered goodies such as black alloys and stylish exterior detailing, sat-nav and DAB digital radio, privacy glass, special floor mats and leather upholstery.
The least expensive Black Edition Skodas are the Citigo (£10,090) and the Fabia (£15,490), while the Superb (£23,630) and Yeti (£23,990) are the most costly and lavish of the bunch. The customer benefit is up to £1,720 depending on the model.
“The Black Edition cars further enhance the cutting-edge contemporary style to the entire range of Skoda passenger cars, yet still have our core philosophy of value-for-money motoring at their centre,” commented Alasdair Stewart, Skoda brand director in the United Kingdom.
