With so many crazy aftermarket builds, it really takes a lot of effort and years of planning before surprising everyone with something fresh. And this upcoming build project is the perfect example.
Let us take a moment to grasp the facts. Right now, this 1968 Chevrolet C60 shop truck is not yet a six-door 6x6. What we have in front of us is just another crazy rendering from pixel master Abimelec Arellano, the virtual artist better known as abimelecdesign on social media. But it’s going to become reality. Soon, hopefully, given the years of planning.

Anyway, our constant readers with a knack for virtual design projects and/or fans of this CGI expert’s creations already know this is not the first time we have seen this outrageous idea. Almost a year ago, the digital content creator shared with the world many color choices for the crazy restomod truck.

We know it’s the same even though the envisioned donor truck has switched from a vintage C50 to a C60 in the meantime. But it’s the same team: Arellano as the CGI master, as well as Overkill Racing and Chassis along with Engle Bros Fabrication as the real-world creators. Back then, the six-door Chevy 6x6 was showcased for color choice in all kinds of shades, from blue to crimson and from gold to lots of dual tones.

In the end, it seems the team has finally settled on a paintjob. That would be a combination of electric blue and gray, something that bodes well for the multitude of chrome details. Those are present everywhere: on the six-door handles, on the six alloy wheels, as well as numerous body details. One interesting thing: it seems the insane build is a mind-bending 6x6 dually if we interpret the artist’s widebody hints correctly.

Naturally, this slammed widebody will not be everyone’s cup of tea. But the owners probably will not care, as right now they’re way too excited after seeing the truck “take its first step from conception to reality!
