It's not every week that Mercedes-AMG releases not one, but two YouTube teasers for a pair of all-new models that are about to captivate the hearts of a huge amount of AMG aficionados.
The first one came the day before yesterday, when the upcoming Mercedes-AMG GT (C190) started showing some of its curves in both its dedicated microsite and on YouTube.

About 24 hours later, it was time for the recently-unveiled S 63 AMG Coupe (C217) to make an impression as well, with the official Mercedes-AMG YouTube account releasing a short but hair-raising teaser of the model and promising that there is more to come.

Accompanied by the following text, which reminded us of an HP Lovecraft-style horror novel, there is probably no better way in which the Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe could be marketed:

“Darkness has a companion tonight. Small creatures prick ears and tremble with fright. A sleek velvet phantom is making its way through shadows, eyes gleaming. It's searching for prey.“

Powered by the latest evolution of the M157 engine, the S 63 AMG Coupe in 4Matic guise can catapult its four passengers from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, a time that was reserved for all-out supercars a decade or so ago.

Its 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 delivers a staggering 585 hp (577 bhp) and an asphalt-wrinkling 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque to either all four wheels or just the rear ones in right-hand drive countries.

Despite being unveiled about two months ago, the S 63 AMG Coupe will only reach dealerships starting with September, with a starting price of EUR 170,586.50 including 19 percent value added tax in Germany. Meanwhile, prepare your senses for the short but awesome video below.
