GM fans expected a lot of things from CES 2022. And the Detroit automaker delivered the “Ultium effect” experience, in the form of the 2024 Equinox, Blazer (announcement), and Silverado EV. Was it enough?
It probably depends on who you ask. According to General Motors itself, Mary Barra’s virtual keynote appearance outlined the “waves of change that are coming as society moves toward the mass adoption of electric vehicles.” Note the mass adoption part. Virtual artists certainly did.

The real world is asking practical questions, such as who is going to win in a 2024 Chevy Silverado EV and 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning brawl? Meanwhile, pixel masters wanted to see how a battery-powered reinvented Blazer K5 would look if based on the pickup truck’s styling and Ultium architecture.

Or how do we feel about an unofficial, fully electric 2024 Chevy Blazer RS sibling to GM’s Equinox EV? Confused, was our answer. But we did not have much time to dwell, as there was also the Tahoe EV and Suburban E case to discuss, also based upon one of the new reveals – this time around Chevy’s 2024 Silverado EV.

Interestingly, both of those latter digital visions stemmed from the same CGI expert’s mind. Kleber Silva, a Barueri, Brazil-based virtual artist better known as KDesign AG on social media, has seemingly fallen in love with GM’s latest zero-emission introductions. Perhaps it’s just some form of atonement for his appalling “Buick Malibu Cross” attempt at a Chevy SUV-coupe of not long ago...

Anyway, now the pixel master is back with yet another reinterpretation of GM Design’s latest EV cues. Still piggybacking on the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV “reimagination” of the classic yet modern pickup truck cues, of course. This is because we are dealing with an unofficial proposition for the potential looks of GMC’s Sierra electric version.

Remember, the Ultium sibling that will sit below the Hummer EV in the GMC lineup was teased almost a month ago. Albeit this CGI vision is barren of any futuristic Denali premium goodies and instead shows a much crummier GMC Sierra EV take on the company’s pickup truck.
