At the WestWorld venue in the city, auction house Barrett-Jackson will host its annual sale, and just like before, this time too it promises an avalanche of cars, from restomods to muscle cars, from old to new, from ultra expensive to not so much.

Among them there will be two cars belonging to a famous owner: Simon Cowell. The British TV man will head to the States in January to sell two of his cars, with no reserve and both black as night: a good-old, modified Ford Bronco, and a very rare Bentley Azure.

The Bronco is of a model year smack down in the middle of the nameplate’s production run. It was built in 1977, and has since been modified to suit Cowell’s needs.

Painted black, it features black leather seats, a leather-wrapped roll bar, black coated floors, and a custom stereo. But the real magic happens under the hood.

There sits a Ford Racing 302ci V8 crate engine linked to a C4 automatic transmission; the powerplant develops 340 hp.

The second car Cowell is selling is a 2009 Bentley Azure convertible, one of just 716 ever made. It is powered by a 6.75-liter V8 engine good for 450 hp and 874 Nm of torque and tied to a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission.

Just like the Bronco, the Bentley too is dressed in black, and is fitted with black leather seats, deep black wool carpeting and a padded black top. And, by the way, it was only driven for 1,759 miles.

Full details on both the cars Cowell will be selling on January 11 can be found at this link.
