When it comes to electric car concepts, the ideas don't always come from established automakers, but from companies outside the automotive industry as well.
While most of them don't get to evolve beyond the virtual concept status, Maltese company Silex Power promises to take its ambitious project from the drawing board to the production line over the next three years.
Green-energy company Silex Power has just unveiled it Chreos luxury limousine concept, that's supposed to revolutionize the EV industry. At least this is what the imaginative specifications of the car lead us to believe.
We're talking about some very ambitious figures here, such as 640 HP all-electric motor with 4,400 Nm torque (!) and electronically limited top speed of 300 km/h, 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, carbon fiber body, 1,000 km autonomy at 125 km/h and charging time for batteries of under 10 minutes.
This sounds brilliant, but given the current technology it's hard to believe creating such a car in less than three years is possible, not to mention that pricing would be more than overwhelming. Let's wait and see if Silex Power can the save the world from those nasty gas-guzzlers…
