The first EV from BMW is ready to be launched in Hong Kong, as an alternative to the chaotic traffic that’s taking over the small island. However, as HK is one of the most crowded areas in the world, if you want to attend the launch of the car, it seems you have to sign up for it on BMW’s website.
The new i3 will be introduced in the small asian country at a starting price of around HK$500,000 ($64,000) and will be fitted with all the usual high-tech stuff BMW is promising.

The main problem here will be that people won’t actually have a place to recharge the car as most of them live in apartment buildings, at dizzying heights and only around 1% of the population can afford to live in a proper house with a garage that would allow them to charge their i3.
