Motorcycle protective gear maker Sidi is proud to present its new third generation Crossfire 3 SRS technical off-road boot which has been introduced at AIMExpo.
One of the most important new features the Crossfire 3 boots come with is an ankle pivot system which is created to limit hyper-extension. An upgraded SR sole system is also on the table, coming with a more cupped and thicker design that extends the boot’s life.
Then there’s the adjustable calf system while All buckles move independently of each other and have just one fixed point (by a screw). This allows an easy closure and the buckles can adapt to the rider’s position as they pivot on the mounting screw as the rider changes position on the bike.
A new Dovetail SR anti-skid rubber sole covers the arch area of the sole and is replaceable by hand tools. Toe and heel areas on the new Dovetail SR sole are now a permanent part of the Crossfire 3 SR.
Sidi has also placed a new inner boot gaiter that has a larger circumference than the Crossfire 2, making for a tight seal around the rider’s lower leg no matter which knee brace system he/she may use. The upper inside of the gaiter also features an anti-heat suede protection-grip panel.
A laminated Technomicro material is used as a base in all areas of the boot, while a nylon insole replaces the dangerous steel shank. The inner heat shield is made of high-grip material, and an all-new rigid, shock-resistant, anatomically shaped heel holds the rider’s foot firm.
Lined with anti-abrasion Cambrelle® in the foot area for comfort, the upper is lined with Teflon mesh, which prevents complete absorption of water and sweat. These materials will not retain water or sweat on the inside of the boot. The boot will dry quickly, and the treatment also prevents the onset of mold.
The Sidi Crossfire 3 SRS comes with an MSRP of $595.
