Rumors suggest that the movie car lovers have been waiting so long for might actually come true soon. Based on Brock Yates’ book titled “Enzo Ferrari: The man, the Cars, the Races”, the biopic was originally planned to be filmed in 2004, having Al Pacino playing the role of the man that created the Italian luxury sports car company.
Yes, you might actually see Enzo Ferrari's life on screen after all. The script is reportedly ready to be shot on camera and it’s only a matter of time until the filmmakers start their magic.

According to Variety, Cecchi Gori Pictures CEO Niels Juul said he is in advanced talks with financiers and a well-known U.S. director. “It’s a beautiful tale of the story of Ferrari battling with Maserati for supremacy in speed, yet it’s not a racing movie: it’s a ‘Godfather’ movie with racing in it”, said Juul.

Shooting of the film stopped the last time after its director, Sydney Pollack, died.

We’ll remind you that Enzo Ferrari’ s life has been a matter of interest for movie makers for a long time now. Actually, a short movie about Ferrari’s racing career was made three years ago. Called “Coppa di Sicilia”, the film was directed by Ivan Zacharis in collaboration with Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and received Ottocar award.

The short-movie did manage to recreate the exact era when Enso discovered he was a winner even before changing his passion for racing for Alfa Romeo team to the construction of the famous Ferrari brand.
