Shelby GT350 vs Peel P50 is the Weirdest Drag Race Ever

Taking a 1966 Shelby GT350 to the drag strip was not out of the ordinary 40 years ago, and we might still see some of them trying the quarter-mile somewhere in the US.
Trying to do the same thing with an old and utterly slow microcar is probably a lot more boring, but how about if you take a Peel P50 and race it against the 1966 Shelby Mustang?

We've never thought about it, but it happened when RM Auctions Inc. set one up to preview their microcar auction that took place on February 15. The result is predictable, as you might expect, and the short clip is humorous as well. Looks like something Top Gear would usually do.

In case you're wondering what that Peel P-something is all about, it was built between 1962 and 1965 in the Isle of Man and it holds the record for the smallest automobile to go into production. It has a small 49cc petrol engine with just 4 HP and a top speed of 61 km/h (38 mph).
