Shelby GT350, Super Snake Build One Program Launched

Most young boys dream of having a Shelby in their garage, regardless of its name. Some of those boys end up owning one at one point, but very few can actually testify they had a saying in how the car was built. Until now, that is....

Starting this month, Shelby announced the launch of a new online program which would allow future customers to build their Shelby to fit their desires. The program is available for new Shelby customers who decide to buy a 2012 Shelby GT350 and/or upgrading their Shelby GT500 to a Super Snake.

“Using the exclusive options available from Shelby American, our online Build One program allows customers to create their perfect Shelby GT350 or GT500 Super Snake,”
said John Luft, president of Shelby American.

“It gives customers the ability to choose their options and see an image of their car immediately with the click of a mouse. And the build sheet pricing module makes it easy to determine the amount they want to invest in their Shelby. With the choice of options, build sheet and online purchase system, the Build One program is the perfect way to design and order a Shelby.”

As usual, you will have to order the actual car from a Ford dealership and have it shipped to the Las Vegas factory, where it will receive the Shelby touch. In between the two moments, you can toy around and decide what feature will best suit your car.

“When a customer completes their Build One session and submits their order online, one of our Shelby American team members will contact them to confirm the order and arrange the purchase and/or shipment of their 2012 Shelby GT350 base Mustang or Shelby GT500,”
added Gary Patterson, vice president of operations.

“Customers can do this online or print and send their order in with a check or credit card number to reserve a production slot. At that point, they’ll have instant gratification knowing they’re now a Shelby owner.”
