Tradition is a notion the internet throws out the window by definition, and we're here to show you what happens when this "rule" is applied to the realm of automotive renderings.
In fact, we've brought you tons of such examples in the past and, for today, we want to focus on what happens when a digital artist comes up with a mashup involving a Honda S2000 and a... Shelby Cobra.
We're referring to the mashup above, which comes from young British artist Khyzyl Saleem. This is far from the pixel specialist's first purist-offending virtual contraption (remembere the aerodynamically-reinvented Ferrari Testarossa?), so we expect you to have gotten used to his style by now.
"On a brighter note, here's a SCCA inspired S2000. I'll leave it's power-plant up to you and your imagination," the artist said when explaining his creation. Truth be told, if we take into account the generous space that has been created aft of the front fascia, you could probably fit pretty much any mechanical heart in there.
From in-your-face (hopefully just metaphorically speaking) elements such as the exhaust, to more discrete bits like the finish of the machine, there are plenty of Shelby Cobra elements adorning what was once an S2k.
And if anybody thinks a Honda S2000 destined for the drag strip is pure fiction, you should check out this straight line-obsessed S2k we showed you a while back. Since the setup includes tech bits such as a solid rear axle, we guess this one will also have a purist-irritating effect. Welcome to the internet.

There's more to this story than meets the eye
Then again, since the original itself was a mashup involving American muscle and British bodywork, this render somehow comes to rewrite the story, albeit in a manner that requires an overly open-minded approach to understanding. And if anybody thinks a Honda S2000 destined for the drag strip is pure fiction, you should check out this straight line-obsessed S2k we showed you a while back.
