Sharapova and Webber Arrive at Pre-Wimbledon Party In a Porsche 918 Spyder

Maria is a Porsche Ambassador that recently promoted the company’s Newsroom so it's only natural that she arrived at the party with one of the world’s best supercars. It was Thursday evening when she flaunted her beautiful long legs while getting off a Porsche 918 Spyder. And to make it even better, the driver was former F1 racing driver Mark Webber.

We wrote the other day about Porsche’s new internet media platform that they established as the Porsche “Newsroom” and it’s promoting video that features the Russian tennis champion. She only plays a small part in the ad, apparently shot in Paris, but having her driving the turbos off a Macan SUV is enough to turn the car-enthusiasm on.

Moreover, people already know that the 27-year old Russian star is a Porsche Ambassador. In fact, the tennis player crowned for the second time as the queen of Roland Garros has been collaborating with the German company for over a year now, while she is also the happy owner of an unique white Panamera GTS she got back in February during the Sochi winter games.

We have to admit that having Sharapova, Mark Webber and a mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar all in one is just fantasy. Considered one of the fastest automobiles on the planet while still being one of the least polluting, the $845k Porsche 918 Spyder hides a 4.6-liter V8 engine under the hood that develops 608 horsepower. Add two electric motors that deliver an additional 279 horsepower and you get a combined output of 887 horsepower.
