Shannons Cruisin USA Holiday Up for Grabs

How about some good old style motoring, with nothing but the road between you and all the wonders the US (applies to non-Americans as well) has to offer to all those bold enough to accept the challenge? We're sure that at one point in your life, you dreamed of just driving away, with no destination in mind, just for the sake of the thing. Well, here's your chance.

Shannons, perhaps known to some of you as an insurance provider, announced this week it would start a sort of competition at the end of which you might be the lucky winner of a 12-day trip across North America.

The insurer only asks that you get a car, bike, or home quote before 31 March 2011. In return, you may be the one who, after that date, will set off from Motown's Woodward Dream Cruise on a trip which would take you to Niagara Falls and then back to New York.

Of course, you'll not be taking the trip alone. Shannons offers all Australians a package which is very hard to say no to: two return airfares from Sydney to Detroit and return from New York, six days car hire of Cadillac DTS, eleven nights’ twin share accommodation with four nights in Auburn Hills, Michigan, one night in Niagara Falls, six nights in New York City and AU$5,000 spending money.

“We’ve offered some pretty spectacular prizes in the past but this one is sure to stir the imagination of every motoring enthusiast,”
said Mark Behr, Shannons marketing manager.

“The opportunity to see the world’s largest one–day auto event – the Woodward Dream Cruise, visit the Big Three motor museums and then cruise to New York via Niagara Falls. 12 Days in all, including six nights in New York and $5,000 spending money, this trip has it all.”
