Seungmo Lim’s Futuristic BMW Concept Presented

When designing the BMW Sequence GT the designer wanted to create an image of what future sportscars might look like. Taking inspiration from twin-hall race boats, it looks totally out of this world, but still embodies some core Bavarian features.

The concept, which is BMW’s car of the future is built using Efficient Dynamics philosophy, promising to be more economical while also offering the joy of driving all the company’s sportscars are known for.

The Sequence GT is a pure electric-powered vehicle, while the double nose configuration offers a more stable driving platform. The spacious interior comfortably seats four people, while the aerodynamic shape, coupled with the double nose resembles a stingray, thanks to thee black and silver color scheme.

In case of pedestrian collisions, the impact is lessened by the deployment of external airbags. Additionally, the air intakes on the either side of the nose are used to cool the electric motors located under the boot floor. BMW Sequence GT’s cabin has four separate seats and replacing the batteries with the charged ones can be done within a minute.

The back of the car offers a deep spoiler and large LED lights, while the front shows a device that projects the BMW logo onto the road. We are especially fond of the honeycomb design on the wheels, that sit perfectly in the arches. For stability at high speed, the car comes with a pair fins on the roof. The panoramic wrap-around bubble windscreen gives excellent visibility. We don’t know if BMWs will ever look like this, but if they will we want to be the first to test drive one.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
